Southern Belle Farm Is Open for Spring
📍 1658 Turner Church Rd, McDonough · Saturday 10:00am–6:00pm · ⚠️ Closed Easter Sunday April 5
One of Henry County's most beloved destinations just opened its doors for spring, and Saturday is your day to go. Southern Belle Farm — a 330-acre family-owned working farm tucked right here in McDonough — kicked off its spring season on April 1st, and the strawberries are already calling. The 18-acre U-Pick Strawberry patch is the main event, but there is so much more waiting for you out there. From Belle's Barn where you can get up close with horses, cows, goats, chicks, and ducks, to the pedal carts, jumping pillow, cow train, and hayrides — this is a full day, not just an hour. Food trucks are on-site, homemade ice cream is ready, and the spring air makes everything taste better. Kids two and under get in free, and the whole family will leave with dirt on their shoes, strawberries in their hands, and a good tired that only a real farm day delivers. Saturday is your window this weekend — they are closed Easter Sunday.

Easter Sunrise Service at Big Springs Park
📍 Big Springs Park, McDonough · Sunday April 5 · 7:00am · Free · All Welcome
There are a lot of ways to spend Easter Sunday morning in Henry County, but few of them are as purely Henry County as this one. The City of McDonough is hosting a community-wide Easter Sunrise Service at Big Springs Park on Sunday at 7am, and the invitation is open to everyone. It doesn't matter which church you belong to, or whether you belong to one at all — this is a gathering for the whole community to mark the morning together. Sunrise services carry a particular kind of weight that indoor services sometimes can't replicate. There's something about standing outside as the sky changes, surrounded by your neighbors, that puts the holiday in its proper perspective. It's free, it's early, and it's exactly the kind of thing that makes small-town living feel like something worth celebrating. Start your Easter morning here, then take your family out for brunch, strawberry picking, or a walk through the park. The day belongs to you after 7am.
